Keeping Moon Fruit Bamboo Pajamas as Soft as Moonlight: A Founder Mom's Guide to Care

Hello Moon Fruit Family,

As the founder of Moon Fruit and a mom of two wonderfully playful and messy kids, I understand just how important it is to have soft and comfortable pajamas for our little ones. Our bamboo pajamas are designed with love and care to provide the utmost comfort, and I want to share some tips on how to keep them as soft as moonlight while dealing with our little adventurers' daily messes.

Pre-Wash Ritual

Before dressing your child in their brand-new Moon Fruit bamboo pajamas - and out of an abundance of caution - I suggest giving them a gentle pre-wash. It's essential to pre-treat any residues that might be present from the manufacturing process. A gentle and eco-friendly detergent is best for this initial wash, as it ensures that your child's sensitive skin remains irritation-free.

Machine Wash on Gentle Cycle

Bamboo fabric is incredibly soft and delicate, just like your little ones. To maintain the plush feel, always wash the pajamas inside out on a gentle cycle using cold water. This helps preserve the fabric's integrity while ensuring that any stubborn stains are washed away. Also, wash with like fabrics (soft ones), as washing with rougher items can damage the soft bamboo fibres.

Embrace Stain-Fighting Hacks

Let's face it; our kids love getting dirty! To combat stains without harming the bamboo fabric, opt for natural stain-fighting hacks. For example, mixing baking soda and water to form a paste can help remove stains gently. Additionally, using a bit of lemon juice or vinegar on tough spots before washing can do wonders!

Say No to Bleach

As much as we want to keep the pajamas pristine, avoid using bleach at all costs. Bamboo fabric is naturally bright and soft, and harsh chemicals like bleach can damage the fibers, compromising the softness and colors.

Skip the Fabric Softeners

While we all love that extra touch of softness, fabric softeners are not the best choice for bamboo fabric. They tend to leave a coating on the fibers, reducing the fabric's breathability and natural softness. Instead, allow the bamboo fabric to shine in its pure form and pamper your child with unmatched comfort.

Air Dry with Love (if you've got the time)

When it comes to drying your Moon Fruit bamboo pajamas, opt for air drying over machine drying. Hang them in a shady spot, and remember that bamboo fabric dries faster than cotton, so you'll have them back in action in no time. This gentle method also reduces any chances of shrinkage or damage from high heat.

Of course, I fully understand that this may not be a reasonable expectation, so if you have to use a dryer, definitely dry on a lower temperature setting.

Ironing - Only if Necessary

Bamboo fabric has natural wrinkle resistance, so ironing is generally not required. However, if you must, use the lowest heat setting and iron the pajamas inside-out to prevent direct contact with the iron. This precaution ensures the softness remains intact.

Store with Care

To preserve the softness and life of your Moon Fruit bamboo pajamas when not in use, store them in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight. This helps protect the colors and ensures that they stay as cozy as the first day you got them.

As parents, we know that life can get chaotic, and messes are inevitable. But with these simple care tips, you can keep your child's Moon Fruit bamboo pajamas as soft and gentle as their dreams. Remember, every piece of our sleepwear is made with love, and we hope they continue to bring comfort and joy to your little ones for many moonlit nights to come.

Sweet dreams,
